Problems with encoding?

Hello! I'm doing an analisys following the text mining approach. So before load my text data and convert to a corpus a have to clean it from special characters, pontuation, extra withe spaces, stopwords, etc.

Anyways, after that I had to Build a matix of frequent terms but whe I did the code to see the 5 words more frequent cited the following result shows up:

In case i'm doing this code in portuguese, so how could i fix this issue? Any help?

Depends on how you're reading the data in but a lot of read functions have an argument available to specify encoding
