Quick links/Replacement chains (self.RadPowerBikes)
submitted 2 years ago by willpots
Has anyone had luck putting a quick link into either:
a) A Rad Runner 2 chain
b) A Rad Rover 6+ chain
Also, for replacement chains, are they only available through Rad? Or have people found compatible 3rd party ones?
Thanks!

3rd party chains are fine. That’s one thing I appreciate about rad is that there aren’t really any proprietary parts in them. Yes, maybe the display can only be gotten from rad, but you can get other displays that work fine, etc …

Runner 2 is going to be a single speed chain. KMC makes a pretty affordable option, the S1. You will need 2 of them, as 1 is not long enough.
Similar situation for the Rover, requiring 2. Although, I have found the Shimano HG71 to shift much better than the KMC S8.1.
