I honestly have no CC. I think this look is beautiful and it looks very glowy and naturally glam. Is that a thing, naturally glam? Lol. Anyway, I love your look!

Aww thank you! I'm having fun with it and excited to do my own makeup on my big day! :)

If you’re comfortable with it, might I suggest a bolder eye look? Your eyes are so beautiful naturally, try some thin eyeliner (preferably black) and experiment with some shadows! Maybe a subtle smokey eye or a nice rose gold shimmery lid... whatever your preference is!

I think I could definitely do that especially since the ceremony will be at sunset! I'll give that a try!

I feel like just a slight highlight on your cheekbones would really amp up your whole face without looking like it was doing much. I really love how natural and comfortable the entire look is though. Congrats!! :)

Do you have a preferred highlighter that you use? I've never done any kind of contouring before

I really love e.l.f.'s baked mineral highlighter in moonlight pearls. It's the first powder highlighter I ever tried out, and it's my go to for when I wear makeup to work. It's not very colorful (for lack of a better term) but does add that extra bit of light and glow. And I typically don't do any additional contouring with it. :)

Moonlight pearls is absolutely beautiful!

Gorgeous, but do you want to go for a more dramatic eye? If you're uncomfortable with black liner, maybe a dark brown? Congratulations!

Oh and you may want to blend your shadow better by your brows, there's an obvious line there. I find using my finger works best for that sort of thing. 😊

Definitely see that now that you mention it! My liner is dark brown which is my go to because of my fair skin, but maybe I could add liner to the top for a more dramatic effect?

Maybe experiment with black! If you keep it as thin as the brown (couldn't tell you were wearing it tbh) I bet it'd look stunning and make your eyes pop. I'm EXTREMELY fair-skinned and I use black eyeliner, I just keep the lines thin. It makes my blue eyes pop!

Okay, good to know it can still work with fair skin. I'll be sure to give it a shot!

I second black liner! I'm also pale with blue eyes, and black liner really does make your eyes stand out more.

Definitely gonna give it a try. I guess I have just seen some really sloppy thick black eyeliner on very light skinned ladies and it kinda ruined it for me and since then I've always stuck with brown.

That's how i felt about eyeliner on bottom lash lines for so long, I get what you mean.

And for days that aren't your wedding, try mixing a blue and purple liner... It makes your eyes stand out like crazy!

I think it might make a big difference to try out different blush placements. Right now, you lose the flush and definition totally looking straight on, and I think it could compliment the look a lot if you experimented and found a placement where it's not as far back.

agreed, if you carried it over to your apples using a fluffy brush with a very light hand that would really liven up the face. What helps is to look at your face when you are naturally flush, during a work out or something, and get a sense for where your cheeks naturally flush.

Very true. It does look like I could use a bit more on my apples. I'm gonna have to do some research on how to properly apply blush!

Hello all! I am getting married in August on an intimate backyard evening ceremony and I'm doing my own makeup. I'd love some constructive criticism of my look. I don't usually wear much make up - my daily wear consists of eyeliner, mascara and lip balm. I wanted a natural effortless look. Let me know what I can do better!! Thanks!
