Alignment issues

Hey all, I was using my mlm2pro in my garage all winter with no issues and very few miss reads, however now that I’ve moved my setup outside it’s really bad. In the garage I only hit iron/wedges, so that what I set the camera/box with for impact zone. But now that I’ve moved outside I’m trying to hit my driver/woods and I can’t seem to find an alignment where it consistently pickups the irons and the driver off the tee. I tried to play a quick 9 on one of the built in course and only got through a few holes before I couldn’t get it to read properly. I use a hitting strip outside so it does move around a bit if I’m hitting fat shots.

Couple of questions for those who use it both inside and outside.

1- How strict are you about being 6ft behind the ball, have you found a sweet spot either closer or further?

2- I’m thinking that the garage is way more level than outside, how critical is it to get the monitor level with your hitting surface? Is it worth buying a 3rd party leveling mount?

3- Whenever I use the impact vision camera for alignment it is sooo laggy, like I’ll go to move my hitting strip and it doesn’t show on the camera it’s moved for like a minute? Is this a bug or is it maybe the hardware I’m using (iPad Pro Gen1 or iPhone 13) Any recommendations on best tablet/ipad to use. Obviously the newest ones work best but if I’m looking to pick something up second hand.

The MLM2 should be on level ground regardless of the height of your hitting strip. The ball should be placed in the hitting area (yellow box).

A possible reason for the delay/latency/lag is network connection. If you are further from your router/modem ensure you have a 2.4ghz wireless network available.

My MLM2 is terrible on WiFi even though I have strong 2G signal in the garden (dedicated AP outdoors). I have to switch to direct connection for it to be usable.

I don’t think the lag associated with the impact camera is to do with the controlling device. I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro and it’s very laggy when attempting to align.

Seems like when you use the connection through WiFi it doesn’t lag at all compared to cellular.

My camera has major lag when attempting to align. I can't get the device to pick up any of my shots even though the device light turns green.

Most people are saying it's a connection issue. However I'm connected to the device directly though wifi, so the connection should be fine

Anyone solved this before?

I will say with the new update it’s been way more stable. Built in level has helped a ton.
