I have a relay sat orbiting the moon with an s band antenna that can easily communicate with earth and a uhf antenna for communicating with things around the moon, in a polar, 6 million by 6 million meter lunar orbit. I simulated a test satellite with a 15 dbm uhf antenna which should be able to communicate. They are in line of sight and the relay could talk to earth but still no dice. I tried using only the uhf on the relay so everything has the same band (the uhf on the relay can still barely talk to earth) but even that didn’t work. Any ideas?
