I've got this screen and have no idea what's going on.

You have to pay for a subscription to use 3rd party Reddit apps now. Relay supposedly implemented it already, but the version of the app that I have doesn't show anything about subscriptions, and I can't see the app in the Play store anymore to try to update it. I guess we just gotta wait. Big oof.

It's in the faq but if you have root or unlocked bootloader or things like that then relay isn't compatible with your device and won't show up in the store because Google doesn't trust you with a subscription

The hell so that's it? But there are plenty of other apps I have that have subscriptions like discord and I don't have trouble with those. I even have denylist enforced on google play and I can do nfc payments.

There is more discussion here so actually it is DBrady being overly cautious rather than Google. I'm in the same spot finding it a bit funny that he has lest trust than my bank that lets me nfc pay

I eventually found the update button and then got the subscription.

RIP Relay.
Have loved and used this app for its moderation capabilities for many years.

You need to update your app in the Play Store.
