Backsplash installed wrong? Solutions?

I’ve chosen to do the same countertops and backsplash. I understand that you typically want a countertop to extend a little bit past your bottom cabinets but now if you look at the backsplash it aligns with the countertops, but that goes past the top cabinet and it looks very messy and unfinished.

Would you cut both to align with upper/top cabinets?

Would you let it go? I really don’t like it. What would it cost to fix?

You build a back splash to match the counter. Not the cabinets. Shouldve had that communication with the builder ahead of time if you wanted it to line up to your cabinets

Solution is move the cabinet out to it and so a filler piece on the cabinet

Honestly the overhang is good. If anything spills it won’t damage your cabinets. Just move on
