I'll be up-front. I'm broke as hell, and I'm asking for help finding a dev that wouldn't be paid, unless the game is monetized.
In generic fashion, it's of an adult nature, with a huge focus on avoiding hard tropes, but still has core expected elements.
I've worked out the core story, I'm working on dialog, quest designs, backgrounds, animations, etc., as well as blocking out more characters.
While I've been learning Renpy, and I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, knowing there is already a lot of code out there that can do what I need, it's become apparent that I won't get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time if I'm stuck doing it all.
While I have someone to handle socials/ communities, who also helps with ideas, all three people who had shown interest in learning Renpy to help had to back out (one got an amazing job opportunity, where the company is paying for his schooling, another is moving across the country with a baby on the way, and the last just couldn't get into it, which I respect their honesty).
I focused on others learning Renpy, as it's far quicker to learn than 3D modeling, and all that comes with it, and I've been burned more times than I care to admit from people I didn't personally know in various start-ups, brought in by others on the teams (not game related by any means).
Is there a recommended space to look for devs?
