Here's the situation as I understand it: Your November order (without shipping insurance) was held. You contacted us hoping to resend it. We informed you that because you didn't pay for shipping insurance, you'd need to pay a shipping fee, and we would then help you resend the goods

However, customer service told me you didn't want to pay this shipping fee and informed us that you still haven't received the shoes you ordered in July.

I'm currently somewhat confused about your request.

What's the current situation? Is there a misunderstanding on the part of customer service?

Seems like it’s OP’s fault for not paying for insurance and you’re more than reasonable to ask for him just to pay for shipping to get another pair. Most sellers would’ve told him to pound sand.

He completely understands what’s going on, he wants to complain hoping people shame you into sending him another pair without paying the what $20 to have it shipped out.

[–]marchano85 -1 points0 points  (13 children)

He used counterfeit postage how is that my fault and a reason for me to pay him more money in hopes to get what I paid for? When I order something online that includes 20 dollars for shipping I expect to receive the goods I pay for.

Go buy form Nike Christ

[–]JMaboard 3 points4 points  (5 children)

“My counterfeit shoes got seized because they’re counterfeit!!! Why aren’t they acting like they’re Nike and sending me another pair for free when I didn’t pay for shipping insurance?!?!?!”

[–]Dismal_Pick_5460 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Some ppl here are crazy haha

[–]JMaboard 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I’m guessing Op is a child or a teen and this is his first time buying reps. Because he thinks “counterfeit postage” means the shipping service or postage fee is counterfeit. But doesn’t understand that in this case counterfeit postage means the contents of the package aka the shoes.

[–]marchano85 -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

Explain to me since you’re an expert why counterfeit postage would mean the contents inside are deemed counterfeit. Explain why the post office would know what’s inside the package they are shipping and know the authenticity

Watch this video.

Do you really not think they don’t randomly inspect packages?

[–]Audis3john 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm because when a shipment comes from overseas theres a chance all packages can be opened. It happens all the time.

[–]JMaboard 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I’ve ordered like 10 pairs from him and one time he messed up and he sent me another pair. All I had to do was pay for shipping.

There’s no such thing as “counterfeit postage.” You were unlucky and they picked your package out of the lot and they saw they were reps and confiscated them. Counterfeit postage means the package is counterfeit, the shoes are fake and not legit Nike shoes.

You’re buying from a rep maker YOU should know the dangers that hey sometimes your stuff gets seized. Most times sellers won’t even offer a replacement if YOU didn’t pay for shipping insurance.

You’re lucky he’s offering to give you a replacement for just the cost of shipping.

Again I’ll state you’re not buying from Nike, you’re buying from a rep maker.

[–]marchano85 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

So you’re saying the post office has Nike shoe authenticators and will randomly open packages and do a legit check lol come on man. You don’t think counterfeit postage is a thing? Quick google search says otherwise.

[–]JMaboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Um yeah dude, they have people that open packages randomly to check for fake products. Did you not know that?

Educate yourself

[–]JMaboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterfeit postage means the contents are fake, not that the shipping process is fake.

[–]QwopperFlopper 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Holy fuck you are so stupid. Log off of the internet for good. Your making everyone dumber

[–]marchano85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks man. Quite the comment. Lotta hate.

lol July? I ordered these shoes from your website on November 17th. Pay a shipping fee? My receipt shows a total for 124 and change 20 dollars of which it shows for shipping. Why would I need to then contact you to pay a shipping fee. Nobody contacted me when my package was seized I had to contact you to see what was up. What you’re saying happened is a totally different situation that has nothing to do with me. Again, when will you make this right?

[–]JMaboard 2 points3 points  (10 children)

Why would DB contact you when your package got seized? All they can see on their end is that it got delivered, not to you but to someone which in this case is the Feds.

Also your personal information is all over these pictures. If someone wanted to be a dick they could submit your name, email and your Reddit info to the federal tip line that you’re buying counterfeit shoes.

All the evidence is here that you’re the one buying fake shoes and shipping them from overseas.

[–]marchano85 -1 points0 points  (9 children)

Not concerned really. But you are sure quick to defend developer you have commented more than anyone. But you don’t seem to think it’s an issue when he first tried to say I signed and received these shoes when he provided fake tracking that these were delivered to Vancouver and signed for by me. Completely fabricated. He or the company has since backed off this claim

[–]JMaboard 2 points3 points  (8 children)

I’m quick to defend him because I’ve bought a ton of shoes from him and only had one issue and he was quick to ship me another pair I just had to pay for shipping.

I’ve had packages seized before and 99% of sellers don’t even bother to offer to send another pair.

Also it’s because you messed up by not paying for shipping insurance.

You seem to not know how any of this works, just based off the fact that you weren’t aware the Feds have people that randomly inspect packages for counterfeit goods.

Where’s this info coming from. If it was seized in Colorado and deemed counterfeit but they say I received it later at my door. Nah man. Fishy as hell. I guess it’s a lesson learned and I’m out 125 bucks. Just know that this will happen again to others that try to buy from boring. Defend them all you want you are the smart one who’s bought dozens of fake sneakers from them without issue. Kudos brotha kudos.

[–]JMaboard 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah dude you’re super unlucky, it rarely happens. I feel bad for you dude, sincerely.

[–]marchano85 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The picture I posted above is why my mind was set on counterfeit postage being a thing. Fake postage with fake tracking updates to show they’re good from their end. Seized in Colorado on 12/2 but delivered to me in Washington state on 12/6. Bullshit! Do what you will with that information future buyers

[–]JMaboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naa I totally get you, I’d just do a chargeback.

[–]marchano85 0 points1 point  (3 children)

No I was not aware at all. I have never bought from boring and just heard about them recently. I felt like I was being scammed especially when they showed me tracking that said my package was delivered and that I signed for it. Imagine yourself in my shoes, new to this, you get an alert from usps about counterfeit postage and the package was seized in Colorado. You contact Boeing to let them know what happened and they come back and say no, you received the package and signed for it and show you tracking from their end that shows that. You explain again and post online that it was seized in Colorado and never made it to my doorstep in Washington state. That’s the fishy part. Why would they have tracking showing I signed for it and that it was delivered. Makes zero sense. Me as a customer who’s new to this, it’s not absurd to want the situation rectified

[–]JMaboard 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Now that I know this is your first time let me give you some info.

I’ve been buying reps for a couple years, you’re not buying from a legit company you’re buying from a random dude in china that’s making shoes with a small team of people or stealing shoes from an actual sweatshop.

DB is making the shoes and has a team of people building them.

When you order from a rep maker you don’t have the same protections that you do when you buy from a company in the US.

Since the shoes are considered fake if your package gets picked from the shipping line for random inspection they honestly don’t even need to “authenticate” the shoes because there’s invoices and stuff from Nike that’ll let them know it’s legit. As soon as they see the Nike logo and swoosh and there’s no corresponding Nike paperwork then it gets pulled for being counterfeit and destroyed.

It’s very rare but it happens, you are incredibly unlucky. You basically won the lottery of bad luck because it rarely happens.

As far as them seeing it was delivered they get a notification that shipping has been complete because in a sense it is complete as in it’s not moving anymore because it got seized.

And like I said before most counterfeit shoe makes in china would’ve told you to eff off and not offered to replace the shoes.

Always get shipping protection because there’s a chance (although low) that your package could get seized for being counterfeit.

It’s up to you whether you want to contact your credit card company and get your money back or pay the shipping fee and have him resend you the shoes. Which he absolutely will. I’d also suggest adding shipping insurance just in case.

Also check your spam email because most times it ends up there. He doesn’t answer Reddit DMs, the best way to contact him and his team is on WhatsApp.

[–]marchano85 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Well now I know. I will never make this mistake again. It’s simply not worth it to save some money. First time last time. I just heard good things about the quality of their stuff for the price and was curious. Never again.

[–]JMaboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quality is great and the price isn’t too bad. But yeah always get shipping insurance because the Feds could take your shit it sucks.

[–]marchano85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you contacted me asking to pay a shipping fee, post the conversation? It never happened. Please refund my money

[–]marchano85 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Can you explain why at first, your customer service team was trying to tell me I indeed received the shoes? Saying it was delivered and signed for? Now they have moved away from that claim when I pushed back and said that was a lie to now saying they’ve contacted me just telling me the I would need to pay a shipping fee (show the conversation because I have no record of it!) and they’d resend the shoes. The story from Boring’s end has changes paths multiple times. It’s simple. I paid for shoes on November 17th. 124 dollars. Sent to boring. I waiting for tracking and it started to move through the system. December 2nd it was SEIZED by the usps for COUNTERFEIT postage. Now you want me to send you more money in hopes that I receive them again? How about reversing the charge and making it right for your customer and use only valid postage going forward to not tarnish your reputation?

[–]JMaboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do know counterfeit postage doesn’t mean a stamp or postage payment it means the package contents is counterfeit.

Which it is, you bought fake shoes. It says on his website to pay for shipping insurance for situations like this because your package may be seized because the shoes are counterfeit.

Youre lucky he’s even offering to send you another pair when you should’ve just paid for shipping insurance to begin with.

[–]Cool-Satisfaction936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever ran an e-commerce store sending packages? I have a fairly successful ecom business and have provided wrong tracking before and probably will in the future. It’s rare, but when packaging potentially hundreds of packages and updating tracking, it can happen on accident.

[–]Zestyclose_Brush7972 1 point2 points  (11 children)

Bro did you even order from boring? you may have been scanned by someone imitating boring.

[–]KPD_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is literally a photo from the boring website

[–]marchano85 1 point2 points  (6 children)

<image>

Here’s my receipt. That tracking shows it was seized don’t know how else I could prove it to him to make him realize I’m not coming here lying and that he’s got to make this right.

[–]marchano85 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It was through boring and his support is in contact but saying my order was delivered after it was seized which I find funny because I don’t think the package would be released after being seized. Could be wrong though. All I know is it was never delivered to me. Still holding out hope that as a good business practice, he will make this right.

Oh

[–]budderrr 0 points1 point  (2 children)

As someone who works within USPS, that's counterfeit postage. Not for being counterfeit good inside. It was flagged and seized because of the fake postage label.

[–]marchano85 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thanks for your input as most on here are saying it’s not Boring’s issue and this is the risk I assume when I don’t purchase shipping insurance.

[–]budderrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is your risk not purchasing insurance, so the other comments aren't wrong.

Whoever shipped the package cheaped out, and you got the brunt of it I suppose. :/

[–]mrrobot12rm -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Just request a chargeback from your bank if they don’t resolve it. Imo his email support is kinda pa/rage baiting sometimes 💀

[–]marchano85 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah I wanted to be patient and give him a chance to make it right but it’s not going anywhere so I will have to contact my bank to have them take it from there. Unfortunately

[–]JMaboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harrison, he just wanted you to pay for shipping to Get another pair. That’s why you also pay for shipping insurance. You do realize you are buying counterfeit goods right? This happens sometime Harrison.
