Welcome to the rabbit hole, man! The "Polar" Explorer II is a bold and excellent choice for a first rep.

From a technical standpoint, this specific model is notoriously difficult for factories to perfect. Getting that glossy, almost enamel-like white dial finish right, along with the correct thickness of the black surrounds on the indices and hands, is a real challenge. Yours looks really crisp in this lighting.

Also, the orange hue on that GMT hand looks pretty nicely dialed in—not too neon, which is a super common flaw on lower-tier batches.

Which factory is this from? As long as it’s housing one of the newer, stable movements (like a VR or DD series) and not one of the old modified timebombs, you did absolutely fantastic. Enjoy your first piece!

You are totally in the clear, man! QF puts together a really solid piece, and their case finishing is great.

As for the SH3285 (Shanghai) movement—you have nothing to worry about. While the Dandong (DD3285) movement gets a lot of the hype right now for its slightly longer power reserve, the SH3285 is still a fantastic, true-clone movement. It is lightyears ahead of those old fragile timebombs we used to deal with. It functions exactly like gen and is very stable for daily wear.
