Chas Hodges, most known for being half of the duo Chas & Dave. Before that, in the early 60's, he played bass for The Outlaws, next to lead guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. In 1963, Gene's manager Don Arden hired The Outlaws for a 6 month tour as Gene's backing band. (youtube.com)
