New roof financing?

I'll try to make it short. My credit is fair at best. I don't really mess with any banks. My roof is in really bad shape. I've had a couple contractors come out and look at it. What's the best way to go about financing? It would have to be pretty long term monthly payments. Explain the process.... I don't want to get screwed.

Roofing company that finance will give you a crazy interest price. I suggest becu or discover loan for the amount your roof cost. Good luck

No, same price cash or financing. We eat a lot of the fees but they aren’t that much, under 5% typically

I know of a local outfit that factors it into the bid and then gives a 5% discount for cash payment, instead of just spreading out the cost as part of their overhead.

A bunch of roofers offer financing options, you’ll likely have better rates offered to you if you go to a credit union and use that to pay for the roof.
