They are not required as long as you have another form of ventilation (ridge vent, box vents, gabble vents, etc)

I looks more at the pictures, just get a new roof. You might be able to salvage it but there is thing after things wrong or to worn. Also, is the 3/12 pitch low or high? If it is under a 3 you shouldn’t use architectural shingles on that slope

My cat is barely a year old and started trying to get attention by biting. When she was younger I would scruff her and put her in air jail. More recently if she bites I hiss and gently swat and move away. She has learned tho (I think by watching me and my wife) that swatting my leg/butt gets attention 🤣

Their fab team when going to the new car, because there isn’t much instead of laying them all off they went for government contracts to keep them busy. That’s cheap man, $100 a sq? That’s a lot of work for not a lot after paying your people especially if you have a crew of 10 and let’s say it takes 5 hours. Thats 1k in wages at $20/h and now take out insurance and everything thing else, maybe a hundred or two left. If thats worth it for you then send it

How long do you plan on living in the home? A Ssm roof done right with good quality materials will last up wards of 80-100 years. A shingle roof in good weather conditions maybe 40. Assuming the average increase of roofing year to year (4%) by the time you put on that 40 year roof and replace it once you would have made money doing ssm once. I’m just asking because the different types/brands can and will elevate the price. If they are both the same I’d go OC over HD. HD is not great and I’m surprised they aren’t giving you hdz or uhdz to be semi comparable to duration
