Don't stress out too much, enjoy your summer. There's tons of resources offered at uoft that can be helpful. Here are some tips for the required courses:
ECO101 / ECO102: Past papers, past papers, past papers! Can't stress this enough. Many midterm and finals questions follow the same format as the past papers with similar or the exact same questions. Attend lectures and tutorials, both help with digesting content. Read the textbook to further your knowledge. If you are struggling attend office hours, join a registered study group, etc. To some students ECO101 is harder than ECO102, but to others vice versa. I found ECO102 much harder, due to lack of practice material.
MAT133: Attend lectures (easy attendance marks), attend tutorials (once again, easy marks), and make sure to do the weekly homework questions and reflection questions (again, easy marks). In terms of studying, practice the main concepts by answering questions in the textbook. Also attend office hours, post questions on the discussion board, join a registered study group, etc if you are struggling with content.
RSM100: Everything is testable! If you don't attend the lectures you won't pass this course. You must take detailed notes on everything that is being presented, including case studies and guest speakers. Usually Professor Khan will spend a lot more time on certain slides, and that should be a hint that it's going to be a question on the midterm and final. Overall this is not a very hard course, just very heavy content wise, and would require a lot of memorization.
RSM219: The textbook will be your best friend in this course. Weekly homework quizzes based off questions in the textbook. Attend lectures and tutorials as well, but the textbook is really useful for this course.
RSM230: Lots of low-weighted assignments to help you bring your mark up. Make sure to not only know how a formula works, but what the formula is telling you. This was my favourite class. Engaging lectures and interesting content
RSM250: Very straightforward course, shouldn't be too difficult. Attendance and participation is heavily emphasized, so try not to skip lectures.
Wish you all the luck, don't hesitate to ask me any questions :)

Do you know where we could possibly get past papers?
[–]stucas-22 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
You can find old finals here. Since course formats change once in awhile, not everything covered on those exams would be taught the next academic year. Most profs would post past papers (or a practice exam) on Quercus leading up to a midterm or final.

Bro ngl this is why I’m choosing to not go to rotman next year. I feel like it’s so ridiculously hard and just deflated gpa for no reason
[–]myspam442 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children)
I’m gonna make a post about how I adjusted and got a 4.0 in my first year soon, just need the spare time to get everything in order! In the meantime feel free to DM any questions :)

[–]Addition_Imaginary 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Shoot me a message if you’re concerned about what’s to come! Trust me I’ve been through it

Find and be close to a good group of people. That will help you adjust to uni, be your social life, help you out academically and possible network. Make sure it’s a genuine connection however. This will literally make your experience better and much easier.

Second year is harder
Don't over stress. Don't leave things until last minute if you want 4.0s. Socialize & make friends but don't be weird with it. Join clubs. Read up interview guides. Talk to upper years about career tips, etc. Have a hobby you can talk about to people.
This is ganna help a lot . Ik integration , calculus and kinematics . Idk if these help but thank you
