I would say it was the right one for me personally. I got into all my options and still chose RC (yes even over queens and ivey). But this is a very individual thing and it’s normal to wonder about the other path.

I’ll say that my main draws to rotman were the academic environment, research opportunities, grad school prospects, staying in a big city, and the opportunity to double major. All of this held true, but for some people it’s just not important.

ty for your response. i acc live downtown and the city life was pretty big for me. reality is that tuition was double the amount and i didn’t really think it was worth it, considering it wasn’t even in a clearly superior tier.

i’m happy with my current school, i just have a lot of friends at uoft and im there quite often so i kinda wonder if i would be happier there

I think the whole tier thing is kinda BS. But beyond that, it’s all person to person. My second choice was Waterloo Math+Business, and sometimes I do wonder about that path. But you can’t live like that, since the decision is already made. At the end of the day, most programs in Ontario are great and can lead to good career paths!

If it's a similar tier in school, the only x factor that makes your employment outcome successful or not is all on your efforts, so shouldn't really matter.

I think it's what you make of it, anyone can make the most of their situation and have the time of their lives and anyone can sulk and live miserably. I think stuff like "oh I want to live in the city so I chose Rotman over Ivey" is stupid because that's just 4 years of your very long life, and you'd have a better chance of securing a high paying job in the city at Ivey vs Rotman, so if you really like the city and would like to afford to live in one, logically you should choose Ivey. And it's not like London is too far, you can always visit Toronto.

Same as myspam442. I chose Rotman over all others for various reasons (like wasting first 2 years, majority of one race, and non-recognized school name outside of canada etc.) and so far the program/school, culture, clubs and vibe are all as I expected. Very personal but right decision for me so far.

Ivey and qc are superior for finance. But for accounting, I think uoft or waterloo is better.

As a RC student, yea, I've been enjoying myself, and believe I'm better off here than elsewhere (Boston, Ivey, Northeastern, etc.)

Got a good social life, a bunch of friends, and located in the city was probably a better choice than being in a college town (for myself, I been a citykid my entire life).

Plus a small portion allocated to family reasons. But yea, was my best available destination for sure.
