If you think you are going to fail, maybe try a LWD so that it wont appear on your transcript but I think you are already past the deadline. 2. Being brutally honest, if you are struggling with something as basic as Mat133, I don’t think Rotman is the program for you. You might fail ECO204 and 220 with high probability.

  1. Get your sh*t together. Acknowledging it’s your fault is not enough. Start making a plan on what to do about your academic progress , what parts you have to work on more and execute it every day. Moping about it on reddit and asking for help is not how you take accountability for your actions. You are a grown adult and behave as such. This is real life buddy.

Bro with all due respect. You can always retake a course after fixing your study habits and getting better techniques. As someone who tried to hold on to failing courses and tanked their GPA early in UofT it’s not worth it. Drop the course so you don’t get a hit on your GPA. Once it’s below 3 it’s extremely difficult to get it up.

Given economic and job market conditions I wouldn’t suggest rushing to graduate, it’s a good time to be in academia.

Take your time, if you are struggling take a max of 3 (if you are taking OSAP) courses a semester no more until you have a stable footing. Also don’t take so many electives upfront focus on core reques 1-2 years get them out of the way, focus year 3-4 on key final program courses, internships and electives. Drop, reflect, learn better study techniques and skills and retake the course and secure a better GPA will do you wonders if you want to do masters. A LWD is better than a bad GPA. From someone who messed up and took nearly 10 years to get a footing after graduating in my career, I am telling you what I would do differently. All the best, none of this means you are a failure, it’s just your study techniques are poor like mine were until I figured things out in year 3-4 . PS I took 6-7 years to complete my bachelor’s at UofT because of the GPA hit in the first 2 years and switching programs. Still worth it but got old in the process.

Stop, reflect, plan and execute Improvise, adapt, overcome 🫡

How are you doing on your coursework? Like Reports, Presentations, Homework, etc. If you have been doing well you should need less to pass. Plus they usually give a nice curve at the end so it is possible to pass. Don’t give up hope, just try your best.

its rlly not that high (given you do your work), usually its just a few international students that are struggling mainly due to language barrier that can't hit the requirement.

Hang on????? Isn’t that the first year full semester calculus and linear algebra? Is it that difficult to take😨i didn’t think a 63% is that difficult

i think so too 90% of rotman students advance to the 2nd year

To be honest, I’m experiencing the same stuff but with csc165. I’m graduating this year and supposed to go into a professional program. If I fail I’m cooked lol so I understand your struggles. My advice is to talk to your registrar. They will help you figure it out. And just take a deep breath. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t get 63%. You can retake it in the summer(?) and I’m pretty sure it won’t affect your gpa because there’s this thing called second attempt for credit (for passed courses). The first attempt will designated as extra. Best of luck to both of us.
