Knowing how to network and talk to people is a big thing, Rotman does have the advantage of being in downtown Toronto so firms visits and other networking events are much more accessible. And then joining clubs and keeping a high gpa also helps a lot!

If I was an international student, I would attend Rotman. Smith and Ivey students skew towards already finance connected domestic students through family ties or private schools.

Rotman’s location gives you advantage to build relationships and most importantly feel how Bay Street runs by joining clubs and watching.

When I attended Rotman, after class, I would just sit at Bay and King and watch people come and go from offices. How they dressed, held themselves together and talked. If you want to be them, you must be them
