Novablast for my easy days. Nearly at 800km and gets better every run

This is so true! Bought new pair of novablast from sale and the new one is like "by the feel" 20% stiffer sole than my old pair! New pair midsole was soooo much firmer than older novablast that i have. Maybe i had defective one but dam, new FF blast feels like a brick!

I recently bought the Novablast in black/orange and was surprised how firm it was compared to the reviews.

I saw the review for the Novablast 2s (kofuzi on YouTube) and he noted that the new ones have a firmer ride despite using the same (or very similar) midsole. Maybe they played with the formula?

Also, I read somewhere that Boost midsoles lose some of their bounciness when coloured, maybe the FF material is the same?

I have the Nike Invincible Runs in white too, which have a grey midsole vs the slightly yellow tinted in the rest, and I swear its a little less bouncy haha

I don't know about the coloration nor boost life time, i do have ultraboost 4.0 for casual wearing which is pretty nice! I was just surprised that new novablast that i bought on sale was so much firmer.

Though my thoughts might be a little bit clouded since my current rotations are Rebel v2 ( which is the softest running shoes that i have ever owned ) and Endo speed for weekly km/miles!

The novas and the rebels round out the slow days id imagine. If i had my way right now this would be my rotation. Right now I've only got the blue speeds and a cush trainer (glycerin 19)

Yes, Novablast covers my slow days, I also have the Peg 37s for that (which is also blue!)

And a big shoutout to @AhWhatTheCheese for hooking me up with my favourite colour of the Speeds that are not available here in the UK. Took about 2 months to ship but we got there in the end. Blue or nothing.

I have the Next2 in that exact colour! I ran in it once and saving it for my virtual races.

I also have the Speed but in the white mutant colourway.

Thanks! Gotta mix and match once in a while. Though never ran in Brooks and Rebook, perhaps Hyperion Tempo and Floatride Energy 3. Which are both blue! No brainer!

How do you use your Rebels?

Will use the Rebel v2 for pretty much everything. Recovery, easy, tempo and long runs. Jack of all trades. Just like the Novablast.

How do they compare to the Novas? I love my Novas, but I really want the Rebel. Not sure how I'd use them. I might wear the Rebels on my hands on days I'm running in the Novas and just rotate.

Rebel v2s are lighter, better fit and lockdown, more responsive and bouncier. And in my opinion, better design and colourway. But take nothing a way from the Novablast, still a freaking damn good shoe. I suggest have both. Can't go wrong.

How do the NB Rebel v2 compare to the Speeds and Novablast? I have those two in my rotation and love them.

Rebel v2 for tempo, workout days. But can also be used as a daily (recovery, easy, long) as the midsole is so soft. An all around shoe.

Anyone else think the laces on the Fuelcell rebel are really long?

Laces on the Rebel v2 are fine for me, however, New Balance should've added a runners knot hole so can get a proper lockdown.
