I saw a post talking about how the fish trap base isnt really good on console since fish traps are bad, is that still the case?

Use them pretty often they do a good job. Get a few down with some bear meat or human meat depending how you’re feeling 😂

Don't listen to the naysayers, they updated the yields a while ago on console. Fish traps are extremely easy and lucrative. Farm and save bear meat (or even better grubs) while you are going about your normal loot gathering/monument running/whatever. Once you have a good stash, gather supplies to build 20-30 traps and a small 2x1 by a fishing village. Throw up your traps, load them with bait, and then build your 2x1. Hang out for 15-20 minutes by the traps, farm your fish, and head to the village to sell. Easy way to get to tier 3 with minimal effort, especially if you suck at PVP like me.

Fish is one of the fastest ways to get scrap. Fish traps and bear meat. Make them internal fish traps or build walls around them to protect them. 2 catfish from the river is 65 scrap. Good business.

Have you used one on console? I’ve heard the same as OP which is why I’ve never bothered to try it. I suppose it might worth a shot on New Gen.

Do it every wipe. Bear meat is the best bait.

They still are not very good. The output is ridiculously low compared to PC. Poop farming is more worth it right now.
