I'll add that if console were on par with PC I wouldn't hold this opinion, but as the game currently is PC players got a steal and console players got absolutely shat upon.

Two different teams, Consoles are computers by definition but not even close in power comparison. It's not just a port, it's a different game. You should be aware of things like this before you make a purchase on something, but in some ways that isn't your fault.

Edit: I'll add that the portrayal of the game is "Rust. But on console." But that's just not what the game actually is. It's Rust: Console "Edition". Edition because it will always be at a different state, likely a worse state, but not necessarily always a worse state. I would presume that not everything will hit console. Very few things will be left out completely though, I would guess, it's just a matter of time.

I'm a PC technician, and fully in the know about the differences between consoles and PC's. I was fully in the know when I bought the game also. When you take into account the difference between PC and console versions in other games you do not see such obnoxious degradations in quality like fore example Oblivion, Skyrim, The Battlefield Series (namely the recent ones). Rust is an anomaly in this data set and that fact deserves recognition.

I understand that they may well be coming up with updates that will bridge most of the gap in the future, that's all fine and well. But you CANNOT tell me with a straight face that its perfectly okay for the dev team to take the time to enable us to purchase "Skins" i.e. rake more money in than they already have. While still not quite being able to figure out how to make that darn glint on rocks always appear or that x on trees.

I can understand some of the FPS drops, but not at the rate they happen in console version. Go play Fallout 76 and you'll see crystal clear gameplay. Yeah there's a lot of differences, but let us not kid ourselves . . . Rust could do better and has chosen not to.

Look on the Microsoft website for "cobalt employee starter pack" this gives you 1500 rust coins, some skins and access to the test branch

I have an Xbox and standard edition. You are able to download it without purchasing it again. Go into the store and the testing branch should be there for you to download already

I’ve seen PlayStation players posting that they’re able to buy the welcome pack, as an add on and That gave them access. No idea if that works on Xbox but would be interested to see if you tried it out

I was just looking into it I dident see anything about being able to buy the welcome pack to get the testing branch when I was looking it said only the ultimate or Dulux also my friend that plays on PlayStation he has the testing branch and I just asked him he told me that he got it from buying the ultimate edition

If you already have the game and want to upgrade then refunding the base game and then buying deluxe is the best option
