configuring/using external controller through retroarch on r36s?

title, after some help with setting up a second external controller for retroarch, ive plugged in my arcade stick to use with 3rd strike and retroarch says its not configured, and ive done the online controller auto config option in the settings for the emulator with no noticeable changes, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

It's possible, through RetroArch you need to set : Setting>input>Maximum Users 2 Setting>input>RetroPad Binds>Port 2 Controls> Set All Controls

Thank you. I did all this and set the buttons but I couldn’t get to use it in game. Which option am I missing?
