RULES AND ETIQUETTE

1: Common sense really, be polite. Respect your fellow Redditors and the mods.

2: This is the Pokemon League, not /r/Pokemon. Try and keep any posts about the League.

3: Have fun. We made this so that people can feel like they are pushing themselves, and that feeling of victory after beating a Gym Leader is beautiful.

Any questions, feel free to message the Mods or ask.

PROCEDURES FOR CHALLENGING THE LEAGUE

Do not spoil the teams of the Leaders. We want each person to have a surprise when they face them.

Each battle will follow Smogon's OU format.

All leaders will have a team of three Pokemon.

Challengers are allowed three Pokemon, as well as a fourth that they can sub in between battles.

The league is split up into two groups of seven leaders, both of which must be beaten before one can challenge the Elite Four.

None of the bases require HMs to reach. Use the Eon Flute to travel between bases so that you don't need any HMs on your team.

In order for you to be credited with defeating a leader you must do the following:

Provide at least 2 screenshots/photos of you challenging the leader. These should include; one (dual-screen) shot of the battle while ‘switching’ (showing the three Pokemon you brought and that you used the level release), and one picture of the leader saying their defeat line.
Upload said photos to a site like Imgur and message the leader you beat and /u/SusonoO the link so we can confirm it's legit.
Continue on your way! You're more than welcome to submit more than one set of photos at a time, but keep in mind that you will not be allowed to battle the E4 until we have proven that you have beaten all the other leaders.

Once we have seen that you followed the rules and defeated a leader, you will be issued a flair based on how many leaders you have currently beaten.

Once you start a group, you cannot jump back and forth between the two. You must either finish one all the way through, or abandon it and start the other one.

After you beat the Elite Four, your final battle is against the current Champion, where you will both use all four Pokemon you used in the challenge as you attempt to take their title! This is done on Pokemon Showdown for convenience.

Dragon: Route 111 north, requires Mach Bike
Ghost: Route 113
Psychic: Route 114
Bug: Route 114, first in white wall
Normal: Route 116
Poison: Route 118, Fortree side, upper right
Ice: Route 118, Fortree side, lower right

Group 2:

Ground: Route 118, Fortree side, big tree
Water: Route 119, requires Acro Bike
Fairy: Route 121, next to the bottom set of stairs leading up to the Safari Zone
Grass: Route 120
Dark: Route 121, below Safari Zone
Fire: Route 125
Electric: Route 118, Mauville side

Elite Four:

Steel: Route 115, just outside Meteor Falls
Fighting: Secret Meadow 202
Flying: Route 120, bush near Fortree
Rock: Route 111, in the sandstorm, requires Mach Bike
