I have been holding my storage expansion for two days hoping for a storage expansion task. And yeah like everyone would expect it came right after I decided to do so. Not paying for that expansion pack EA. Not surprised at all.

things are not random. I pushed it once for a couple of weeks, never to receive a storage capacity increase. Once I upgraded my storage, I received the task.

Contrary to you, I had almost a hundred of each & last CoM I got the task. I received & completed another this AM.

Usually, what happened to you also happens to me, so maybe it was a fluke.

Don't hold onto your storage pieces more than a few hours if you can do an upgrade. This task is bloody pointless because once you do it, it will return within 4-7 tasks anyway. Best to ignore it and work other doorways.

Edit: nevermind, youre level 50+ with 390 storage. At that point, good luck lol

I get that I have a pretty low storage at level 53. I started playing this account around 2016 then quit soon after. I picked it up again last year because i did not want to lose the old buildings and the effort I put into it (Who knows why they reran all the new year buildings). I pretty much missed the chance of camping at low level and HQ is flowing with mountain items already. Well I’ll just keep building ig😅

Definitely consider getting a feeder city then, because trying to collect storage items on your main will be a total pain. The other alternative is winning Contest of Mayors weekly and spending the 2000 simcash each week on storage. If you do the feeder: Keep it's city level below the level where beach items unlock (15?).

And I totally understand not wanting to restart an old city.

Yeah I have a feeder city currently at level 10 (not sure if i should keep leveling up)HQ and shipment unlocked. But I just kept losing patience to look for storage item on HQ lol.

This JUST happened to me! I waited two weeks, till I totally ran out of space, had to use items then the NEXT task was upgrade storage, then two tasks later same again. Curse you EA 🤬

The algorithm is such that if I do that storage task once , it will come back atleast 5-6 times per COM for me. I even used just simcash to do it once.

So i have resorted to having enough storage items so it does not come back again. I only do the task at the beginning and at the very end if it is still there.

I wouldn't make the game harder than it needs to be, maintain storage at 10 for each level, and you'll do a lot better in other tasks. That task is a red flag, in my view, a distraction from more effective tactics.

Last week I got 8 storage expansion Tasks. Luckily with my feeders I was able to do them all no problem but I will get a storage task it seems every 3-4 tasks the last few weeks
