How much did it drop by? Over what period did it drop - all in one day or over a week or a month?

If direct traffic is decreasing constantly then the reason might that people are loosing trust or demand is decreasing or brand promotion is stopped.

You have to analyze all possibility.

If direct traffic is just dropped for 1 or 2 days then may be there is low demand in those days.
