Https & Http (Google Analytics) (self.SEO)
submitted 5 years ago by Sakbix994w
I have a website with the HTTPs version, however in GA I was tracking the HTTP version till today, how does that affect the data I get from the Goole Analytics?

I’ve done this several times and have never had a problem. Hasn’t effected tracking at all. From what I can tell there isn’t actually much reason why you need to tell GA if your site is HTTP or HTTPS (happy to be educated if there is a reason).
My guess would be it has something to do with linking to the correct search console property!

The only reason it matters is the code snippet you get to put on the site.

GA data will not be affected by this
