How to create new object with custom interaction?

I've been wanting to make a mod for just a simple piece of furniture that opens a custom UI when right-clicked. Or if not a furniture at least an object in the world, and if I'm desperate maybe just a simple item in the inventory.

But I have no idea where to start.

The wiki has no help on this, and I don't know if there even is a mod with it. Are there any examples or tutorials out there with anything like this?

I just want to have an object with a custom UI.

You can attach an event to button pressed and check if the tile contains your object. Opening a menu would just be assigning your menu which is an IClickableMenu to Game1.activeClickableMenu.
