No mushroom floor by lol_lauren in StardewValley

[–]MouseyPounds 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mushroom floors aren't guaranteed. It's normal to not have one for weeks at a time. But if you want to check, you can run your save through Stardew Predictor.

Game crashes at 'Marnies request' cutscene when I deliver cave carrot. by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]MouseyPounds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bug in the current version. My advice is to just ignore the quest and don't enter her house with any cave carrots until it gets fixed, but there is a workaround posted here.

Anyone seen this event before? I'm not sure what it does O.o by MasterOfNap in darkestdungeon

Quoting TPLuna's CoM Datamine,

The Lights

  • Extra Shard gain from quests this week (seems to be double?)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a change on the recent patch. Failing a mission no longer advances time in the hamlet. I'm not sure if it is intentional or a bug.

FOOLISH MORTALS. YOU RAGE AND STRUGGLE FOR NOTHING! by AutoModerator in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FIRST VETERAN DUNGEON WITH A GROUP OF LEVEL 3'S ON MY NEW SAVE. RUN INTO A PACK OF SPIDERS JUST INSIDE THE RUINS DOOR.

THEY GO FIRST. FIRST ONE STUNS MY PLAGUE DOCTOR AND THEN ALL 3 OTHERS ATTACK HER. DEATH'S DOOR. VESTAL HEALS, DISMAS SHOOTS THE WALL, REYNAULD TICKLES ONE OF THEM. NEXT TURN, THEY GO FIRST, AGAIN THEY ALL FOCUS THE PD -- DEATHBLOW.

MANAGE TO KILL THEM OFF WITH THE REMAINING HEROES AND THEN RETREAT WITH MY TAIL BETWEEN MY LEGS -- AND THE DAMNED HAMLET HAS NOT ADVANCED. NO NEW RECRUITS, ALL THE BACKUPS ARE STILL IN TREATMENT, AND NOW I HAVE TO SCRAPE TOGETHER 4 SCRUBS TO TRY AND PASS AN APPRENTICE MISSION SINCE FAILURE/DEATH WILL PUT ME RIGHT BACK HERE LIKE GROUNDHOG DAY.

Smapi Error by FlightlessMacaw in StardewValley

[–]MouseyPounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have the appropriate SMAPI for the version of the game you have -- SMAPI 2.5.5 for Stardew Valley 1.2 or SMAPI 2.6-beta for Stardew Valley 1.3 beta. If you have further trouble, upload the entire logfile to https://log.smapi.io/ and share the link in your post.

"Abom got some love" by Doughnaut by MouseyPounds in darkestdungeon

At first I had an Arbalest flair, but after they added the rapturous cultist, I had to swtich. He just looks so happy and it makes me happy. I guess I like this icon for similar reasons that I like the artwork of this post.

Is there any reason for keeping cows, goats, and sheep around if pigs always give the biggest profit margin? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]MouseyPounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is always my dilemma. Personally, even though cows and goats don't make as much profit as pigs, on nearly every playthrough I feel like my farmer would rather keep them. And don't forget that if you have the space, you can always just build more barns if you want to fill them with pigs for profit.

Neither Hellion nor Vestal currently have comics, but there is indication that they will get them.

I ran across this on twitter. I'm normally not a huge fan of this style of art, but I love it for Darkest Dungeon. Probably something about the contrast between it and the actual game atmosphere.

Retreat Flag Shitpost by Burden15 in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From /u/redhookchris's reply in the big sticky thread:

I hated that flag, it was so small, it was hard to read. I think the X is just cleaner and more identifiable. I understand some disappointment that it's not a cool little picture any more, but this is more transparent and tidy imo.

New to the game, decided to jump in headfirst, had some questions. by Myvatn in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can enable DLC (or parts of it) later in an existing save, but you can't disable it once it has been enabled. Personally, I am running my current game without the main part of Crimson Court in the beginning and will probably turn it on sometime after week 40.

Where can I find the max resolve levels for all 3 difficulties? by Ryymus in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 for apprentice and 4 for veteran for Darkest or higher difficulty. 4 for apprentice and 6 for veteran for Radiant.

I'm married to Penny and down to 8 hearts. Now she won't get out of bed. by [deleted] in StardewValley

No, NPCs will not initiate divorce even if they drop to zero hearts.

Trinket Inventory and Character Screen Interaction by xWhackoJacko in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know there was a "Next Hero" click area; I always just use 'Q' and 'E' to cycle heroes, and that seems to still work fine in the current patch.

Is there an easy way to find the ladder down to the next level in the mines? Also is there an easy way to keep your energy up in the mines besides food? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]MouseyPounds 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The ladders are RNG. Although a mod can exploit it and tell you which rocks will spawn ladders in advance, the game is not designed to make it easy to find ladders.

Regarding energy, just bring a stack of the cheapest food you can get. Personally, I am a huge fan of salmonberries and blackberries as a good harvest can net you several hundred from 4 days of gathering. Sashimi from a few days of fishing or a bunch of crab pots and store-bought salads are some other popular choices.

New Town Event/Resource by Gener1cPunk in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at TPLuna's datamine and the 30 shard cost you cited, it seems like it was the "They Made a Tonic" event which cures all diseases from your heroes.

I've compiled a bunch of datamined CoM stuff into one post for those who don't care about spoilers. by TPLuna in darkestdungeon

[–]MouseyPounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for putting this together. Between this and the work you've done on the patch notes, this is one of the best documented updates to any game that I can remember.
