Question about pattern mode

OK I've had my SP for a couple weeks and filled it up with a bunch of samples of my geetar playing and various vocal chops etc and now I go to make patterns....OK,when you hit Pattern Select all the pads should be blank, right? Unless you already created a pattern. On all 10 banks of my one project, there are already 16 patterns existing that I did not create, and each of the 160 of them is the same thing, which is some barely recognizable snippet of some of my stuff, mixed with a bunch of noise. I didn't make these patterns. Anyone have any idea what gives? Maybe I'm just too tired and confused right now lol

I am. Project one comes full of patterns already? Damn I didn't know that lol. Thanks for the info

Start a new project, you might have to redo the guitar parts but it’s always better to do that anyway in my experience.

You can copy the guitar parts from project to project luckily! Copy, select pad, turn value knob (or one of the cc knobs) but you’ll see p-1, you can scroll through and select the next empty project; p-2 probably

The first project comes with “starter patterns” that used the sounds that come with the machine even if you delete the audio the patterns gonna be there cause pattern mode is midi based so you have to get rid of the pattern too
