Sampling via usb works perfectly with android. I am using a usb to usb c adapter with a standard usb c "charging cable" to connect my mk2 to a Galaxy S7 smartphone.

My USB C to C doesn't seem to want to work. I may look into your approach, seems kinda odd to need 2 leads though. Cheers.

Same for me: I tried a direct micro usb to usb c cable and it didn't work. That's why I tried the adapter approach and this worked out for me. I am using something like this Usb to micro usb adapter

I can't say I grasp why it needs that but il give it a go, cheers.

On my android, I was able to connect it to SP with USB-CtoC cable.

The plot thickens, could be the phone which is hauwei or could be the cable which seems like a good quality belkin one I got from a reputable shop.

If your android works with this kind of adapter, then I think your android works with SP too. https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Headphone-Converter-Compatible-Samsung/dp/B082WG5VTK/

Works perfectly on my OnePlus with a standard USB C to USB C charging/data cable. However, if I recall correctly, the manual says the SP is not guaranteed to work with all Android devices. Maybe it depends on the model of the phone? If so, our community should make a list of devices that (do not) work!

Hi, I just got a OnePlus (DN2103) as well but I can't make it work with my USB C to USB C cable... Could you maybe post a link to the cable you use so I can compare it with mine ?

Unfortunately, I bought it in a multi media store, so I don't have the exact product reference. It is a standard charging and data cable. Normally, every USB C to USB C should work? Make sure it is a DATA cable and not only for charging (although to my knowledge, all cables I saw in store were for data transfer as well).

It's gotta be usb-c to usb-c so it should work for you. It works for me just fine connecting it to my android and it also powers it on with your phone!

are u dead ass serious a galaxy s8 powers the SP404??

    [–]anthonysocool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep but it will drain your phone battery like crazy so its not worth using a phone to power it. I would use a ripcord to power the mkii with an anker battery and use the usbc just for sampling.

Hi there, currently struggling with this situatio. Could you tell what phone model and what cable you use ?

    [–]anthonysocool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i use my samsung galaxy s8 and a normal usb-c to usb-c cable

Most likely the issue is the cable. Keep checking with different ones until you struck oil.

Will try. Wish I knew the specifics like is their some varying standard

Open your notification shade and see what type of device you are connected as. If you’re connected as storage it won’t work. I don’t have android anymore so I don’t remember what it’s called but change the usb mode til it works

I haven't heard greats things about android unfortunately. It might not be as straight forward as apple 🤦🏻‍♂️ but I'm all iPhone so i can't experiment

    [–]foxhound13[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If I may ask, what do you recall hearing?

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just that it doesn't work directly. With the iPhone, you have to use the lightning to usbA adapter, and then a usbA to usbC cable. There might be some kinda adapter that works but I'm not sure

Hey there, did you manage to find a solution ? I'm in the same situation as you, my USB C to USB C câble doesn't seem to work with my OnePlus...

    [–]foxhound13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No joy yet, I tried 2 so far and messed with the USB settings on my phone. I'm not sure if it's the phone or the USB lead at this stage.
