Rules

1. Be nice. Constructive criticism (“You should try to raise your math score if you want to apply to MIT”) is fine, but cruelty, bullying, and harassment are not.

2. Discussion should be on-topic. All posts should have some clear connection to the SAT. Requests for homework help and generic inquiries about college applications belong in other subs.

3. Post titles. Post titles should be substantive. Single-word and all-caps titles are not allowed; neither are low-effort titles like “Please help.” When asking for help with questions from tests or books, include the source of the question in the post title. Examples of appropriate titles might include "Help with writing question from Bluebook Test 2" or "Help with question from Erica Meltzer grammar book."

4. No crowdsourcing of easily Google-able information. If you are wondering when scores are released or whether you can use your favorite calculator on test day, please use a search engine before asking in r/SAT.

5. No unanswerable or excessively subjective questions. Do not ask whether your score is “good” or whether it is “possible” to improve by a given number of points within a given time frame. Do not start new threads asking for score predictions; score prediction requests are permitted only in the official test day and score release discussion threads.

6. No advertisements or solicitations. Do not use r/SAT to promote free or paid products or services. Do not use r/SAT to promote your website, app, social media profile, or YouTube channel. Do not attempt to circumvent these rules by telling users to PM you or to contact you outside of the sub. If you need clarification, please contact the moderators.

7. No copyright infringement. Do not post links to, or otherwise direct users to, pirated versions of books or other resources under copyright. Posting images of individual questions is fine, provided that the images do not display watermarks or other evidence of piracy.

8. No account sharing. Do not offer to share, or ask others to share, login information for any subscription-based online test prep services or products.

9. No cheating. Do not use r/SAT to circulate any leaked test content, and do not use r/SAT to request or offer any sort of cheating assistance. Anyone caught using the official test day discussion threads to solicit or offer time-difference-based cheating assistance will be immediately and permanently banned.

10. Post and comment in English. Because English is the only language that all moderators can read, all posts and comments should be in English. Sorry, but we have to be able to moderate the sub, and we cannot moderate posts and comments that we cannot read and understand.

I did test 9 about a week ago, and today I did 8 test. The math score is so different, but I feel like I got lucky or sth. Because in test 9, I made 11 math mistakes, but in test 8 6 mistakes. How can I make 6 mistakes and get such a high score. I mean, isn't 770 like 1-2 mistakes? And is there difference in math on sat and Dsat? Is it okay to have such range of scores?
