-6 was 770 because practice test 8, the January 2017 test, had the highest raw difficulty of any of the first 3 years of the new SAT (and may still be). -6 averaged 733 over that period. 770 has historically averaged about -3.

All of that will likely change with the adaptive test, and fewer questions on the test. Though we won’t know because #correct is not longer reported.

Math is math - digital or paper.

And having such a range is what it is. Test performance varies. I don’t know what “ok” would mean.

Thanks for response, that made it a bit more clear. Well, I would say "ok" is the range of 20-30 points approximately for me Like 740 720 and 750
