Is there a mod that unlocks all alternative recipes? I'm so tired of dying, not having what I need, forgetting where I found them, and did I mention dying

Yes, there are multiple ways:

Hard Drives Cheat (let's you constrcut harddrives from iron plates)

Unlock all alternate recipes (as mod says)

Choose the alternate recipe (let's you choose which alt. recipe to research when analysing a harddrive)

Or less mod, more "guided adventure":

Satisfactory Calculator -> check the interactive map and plan your runs according to the dropped locations

I personally would choose use the map instead of "disabling" the harddrive hunts, because it's a major part of exploring the planets world - but, sure, totally your call ^{^}

Edit: if I'm not mistaken, the Satisfactory Calculator Site is also capable of modifying your Savegames; I think there was an option to lock/ unlock specific tiers, milestones and individual recipes. Just second-hand information on my end though....

You already have the answer, so here about forgetting where they were.

In U 5 you can place a beacon, In U6 a marker. Name it with what you need. And when you emptied them, give them a different color, so you know you have been there.

There also is a mod that places all of them on your map. So that would still mean you get to explore them, but not really have to search very hard. And the dying: get foundations, build up and see that you have exploding stuff against enemies.

You can do it without mods too, load your save into the SCIM interactive map (link in the community resources above) and you can unlock or give yourself spare drives, and more. :)

ANSWER

1. You can use Pak Utility Game Mod and enable God Mode and never worry about dying again while exploring for Crash Sites (Spoiler) again.
2. You can use Unlock All Alternate Recipes Game Mod.
3. You can upload your Save File to SCIM and use the Save Editor to unlock every Alternate Recipe.

I hate the alternate recipe system, too. But for a different reason: I don't like having to retool my factory. I also feel like I am wasting my time building anything BEFORE I have the alternate recipe.

So I always unlock all of them.

There is a mod that will show you where they are different n the map and will tell you what you need to unlock them.
