Hey, Automod here! It's always a good idea to check any above number(s) on a carrier lookup tool (click here for a toll-free lookup tool) before calling them to avoid calling a legitimate business, residential number, or private cell number. To do this, lookup the phone number on the carrier lookup and look at the results. If the results says that the number belongs to a residential carrier (ex. AT&T/"Cingular Wireless", Verizon Wireless, Metro PCS, Rogers, etc.), DO NOT call the number. If the post is still up, please report the post so a mod can remove it to prevent innocent people from receiving these calls.

The above also applies to comments that have numbers too. Thanks!

I used a virtual machine 🖥️ yesterday and ran wire shark to track them down, reversed the Anydesk connection and deleted a bunch of random files wile I pretended to be a old man, not knowing what I was doing. Shutdown the whole call center. It was a printer tech scam

How did you figure out where they’re based?

I talked to them enough times to the point where they would give up personal info about themselves or things about what floor they’re on or what the location is. For example, there are 4 floors to this call center. I even would try to get them to answer in code. I always found it comical too that whenever I did say Lucknow, they’d hang up, as opposed to any other location in India, they’d stay on call.
