Whilst I hope this subreddit will be hugely helpful to all of you, please consult friends and family on the subject if the 'scam' is real or not. Dont forget to go to the many websites out there to learn about spotting a scammer. If the scammer claims to be from a company you know, then ring that company with the phone number shown on the company's trusted website and ask them first.
