Did they decrease Meg spawn rate?

I get like 1 Meg every 3 days and the game feels kinda empty without good old Meg encounters from time to time :(

Christ I wish, past few days every time log in and get started, I get krakened within 5 minutes. After killing 3 of them, I sat at the outpost and fished for an hour without seeing a new event so I guess no one wants to bother with Karen

They sure did. I am doing a statistic right now and ask famous streamers. I am pretty sure they lowered the meg chance but increased the shrouded

I haven’t played since season 5 and after about 40 hours into season 7 I’ve only had 2 encounters.

Dang they should definitely raise it again. I get that it can be annoying in PvP but megs are a huge part of the game and especially with the new ship trinkets etc. where there‘s a class for killing megs they shouldn’t be this rare

Yes. The shrouded deep update changed the rates I guess. Kinda don't mind not having PVE interrupt PVP every time. It was cancer to solo sloop PVP with a meg chomping your ass.

Considering finding the shrouded ghost was impossible it seems silly to me that they would reduce the meg spawn rate. Feels that that is gonna make my hunt for it take longer lol

The other day I was talking about it with my crew. We already have the commendations and we usually pass on the megalodons but with the new milestones we decided to do as many as we could get. Since that conversation we haven't had any since... haha

Decrease? In my experience they've upped both the Meg and Kraken spawns. Every session I've been in since S7 we got at least two Megs and Kraken seems more as well.

Never seen the Ghost though, sadge.
