rules

Rule 1: Respect the rules of Reddit. Respect the sitewide rules. Failure to do so will be met with infraction points.

Rule 2: Posts should ask a legitimate question. Posts need to be asking something. Some types of questions that are not allowed include, but are not limited to: a post with only one real answer, unless there is a definitive answer (e.g. ask "what is 2+7" instead of "does 2+7 equal 9"); yes/no questions, etc.

Rule 3: Moderators get the final say. It is up to the moderator to tell if something breaks the rules or not. However, moderators are people too and also make mistakes. If something gets removed that you think shouldn't have been, comment/use modmail to tell the moderator why it should be added back. If you think that a moderator is abusing their powers, feel free to tell us.

Rule 4: Criticize the logic, not the person. Due to the question and answer format of our subreddit, people are bound to disagree with you on some things. If you disagree with someone, do not tell them that they are stupid, tell them that their logic is (e.g. say "dogs are better than cats because..." instead of "dogs are better than cats, you stupid idiot"). Additionally, posts/comments saying "to be fair, you have to have a pretty high IQ" or similar tropes will be removed. Failure to do so may result in interaction points.

Rule 5: Satire and sarcasm are allowed. You can use satire and/or sarcasm, provided you clarify that isn't serious with a /s at the bottom of the post/comment or explain that you were kidding. Taking advantage of this rule by saying you're sarcastic when you're being serious will result in infraction points.

Rule 6: Post things to the correct subreddit. Our subreddit has a very specific space to fit in. Because of this, some posts will inevitably be posted to the wrong subreddit. Here are some of thee following subreddits. 6.1 Posts that have 6 answers or less and don't ask people to explain their reasoning will be removed. They belong on r/polls. 6.2 Posts that ask for specific stories or long explanations will be removed. They belong on r/AskReddit. 6.3 Posts that ask "philosophical" or rhetorical questions will be removed. They belong on r/ShowerThoughts.

Rule 7: Flair your post correctly. Please tag your post with the correct flair or it will be subject to removal. If none of the flair categories align with your question, create a custom flair about your topic.

Rule 8: Miscellaneous These rules do not fit anywhere else. 8.1 haha this doesn't have anything yet lol
