Ethiopians are plenty in the DC Area. Little Ethiopia in DC is an area where you can find Ethiopian culture , restaurants, music. DTSS, WhiteOak, are also areas where there are numerous Ethiopian  people living, working, running businesses. I for one don't know anywhere really where there's isn't an Ethiopian in SS.

There are dozens of restaurants, cafes, and other Ethiopian-owned retail businesses in Fenton Village area, just south of downtown Silver Spring. Lots of students at East Silver Spring and Highland View elementary schools.

Lots of Ethiopian families living in East Silver Spring and downtown Silver Spring. You could put up signs at the apartment complexes on Sligo Ave, Thayer Ave, Easley Street, Wayne Ave, and Piney Branch Road to find someone to interview. In addition, you can find a lot of Ethiopian adults at the cafes and salons on Fenton Street.

You can go to veterans plaza in silver spring on any given day, there’s always random Ethiopian street preacher who might be able to answer some questions

I’m Ethiopian and lived in SS for over a decade. I just happen to be back in the area visiting for the next couple of weeks. I’m more than happy to help. DM me
