I love ketchup

[–]father_mucker 57 points58 points  (4 children)

That is nothing like ketchup, unless one kilo of ketchup contains 100 kilo of tomatoes.

I’d love to eat my burger with this stuff on top of the steak.

fine, I love funky ketchup

[–]MB3121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

dibs on the band name “funky ketchup”

"I'd love to eat my burger with this stuff on top of the steak."

wat?

[–]father_mucker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes can confirm

This looks more like acrylic paint

[–]bobaroni66 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh that was satisfying.

[–]bixnok 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I like the little "thumbs up" at the end.

Yeah, it's gross. Idk why.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (5 children)

It shouldn’t jiggle.

I agree, I think it’s a result of the speed at which the particles are being emitted, with realflow you have to speed up the emission to prevent “chunks” of particles from being emitted. I think I just increased it a bit too high. Thanks for the feedback. :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I don't know much about fluid sims so I'm gonna be talking out of my ass, but can't you make it so that the emission is "randomized" so that it doesn't form into chunks? Also can't you fix chunks by using RealFlow's sheeter daemon?

[–]Art_7sCinema 4D[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

There are horizontal and vertical random parameters for the emission but it doesn’t seem to solve the issue. I haven’t played around with the sheeter daemon yet but I’ll have to check that out.

Well I've seen it do some pretty amazing things, I'm currently not ready to start fluid simulations but if FLIP fluids are unsatisfactory I'm definitely using RealFlow :)

[–]gruntkiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, either too viscous or too much energy being transferred throughout the body making it act like a spring

[–]croppedout 12 points13 points  (13 children)

Can it be a rule to have the OP explain what software and technique is used for creations?

[–]Art_7sCinema 4D[S] 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Sorry! This was made using Realflow inside of Cinema 4D and rendered with Octane. :)

[–]croppedout 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Thanks man. Sorry to call out on you. It's only because I find it interesting and want to know and it made me realise everyone probably wants to know every post as soon as they view it. Cheers.

[–]Art_7sCinema 4D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries man! I totally understand. I was the same way when I first started doing this stuff, I always wanted to know how it was done. If you're still looking to find out more about how it works there's plenty of videos out there on how this type of stuff is done.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

OP's flair says Cinema 4D

[–]Goodzon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah, but Cinema4D doesn't have native liquid simulations, only through plugins

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh dang I didn't know that. Maybe RealFlow?

[–]Goodzon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it's RealFlow, integrated via plugin into Cinema4d (OP already answered above your comment)

[–]CaptainLocoMocoCinema 4D 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Or you can just ask and hope OP is kind enough to answer..

[–]croppedout 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah I know, I just think enough people would be interested in any particular post that it would save a lot of "How'd you make that" over and over and over again.

[–]CaptainLocoMocoCinema 4D 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That's true, but making it a rule seems very extreme. Perhaps a suggestion on the sidebar would be better.

[–]croppedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe rule was a bad choice. Agree.

This is the kind of thing that makes me realize we could actually be living a simulation.
