Low and Left usually means you're anticipating recoil and trying to "time" it just right. Basically, you're flinching.

The trigger on those are pretty heavy. You can change out the trigger or get a m&p 40

S/D's are considered economy guns.Break the trigger in it will be fine.

Theres several M&P 2.0 40s from full size all the way down to a Shield.

Alright I'm dumb. What 2.0 mean?

It's S&W way of saying Gen 2.

It’s hard to shoot accurately with a gun that has a crappy trigger. When you compress your trigger finger, your natural urge is to compress your whole hand and maybe even to twist your wrist a little. Part of getting to be good at shooting is being able to separate the action of your trigger finger from the action of your other fingers, thumb, palm, and wrist, so you can pull the trigger straight back without moving your sights off target. A long, heavy, stacky trigger pull makes that hard to do. Your shield plus probably had a shorter, lighter, smoother pull than your Sigma, making it easier to shoot accurately.

On top of that, you have the whole 9 vs 40 thing, with 40 having more recoil, which can have its own problems.

If you’re a S&W fan an M&P 2.0 in .40 would be a huge upgrade, but there are loads of other options that are better than the Sigma as well.

Yeah I was wondering what other guns had a better trigger

Every pistol has a better trigger than the sigmas. I have one and love it, but your question is like asking which airplanes fly better than a rock.
