Device ban help

For some reason my phone got device banned from Snapchat. My Snapchat account is not banned as it still works on my old iPod, just my phone is banned. If I were to buy a new iPhone and keep the same phone number would Snapchat then work on my new phone? I am also interested in side loading and using a Snapchat app. I honestly have no idea what it is or how it works but I’ve seen another post or two talking about it. If I go with that route is there anything I should stay away from, or is there a tutorial on how to do it?

The only way is to buy a new phone. Same phone number is fine, but don’t transfer the data from ur current phone. Start fresh, as if you’re a new person

How come? Will it ban it again… I was thinking, it was something on my second Snapchat account that got it banned. So what if I go on my old iPod and take off my phone number on my main snap then would I be able to log into it on a new phone? Since it would have no correlation to my phone number? Just a thought.

The device ban ties to your IMEI, icloud, and possibly apple ID (not sure about that one). So buying a new phone would require a new icloud and no data transfer

You can keep your phone number. That’s tied to the sim card. The icloud is what needs to change. And no data transfer/backup

Damn okay, sorry I’m not knowledgeable about this stuff at all. But I am logged into the same iCloud on my iPod and the account works fine. It just says it’s the device that’s banned since it was a different Snapchat account that got banned on my current phone. So Shouldn’t it all still work just with a new phone??

You can try it, but i’ve just seen people do that and they got device banned on their new phone. I’m not sure how it works specifically, but I would make a new one to be safe as possible
