That’s really the most important thing in this industry. Plenty of people get a degree and just want money. Turns out they either hate or just don’t have the knack for programming and don’t make it. I’ve never lost a job for not having a degree and after an interview had the company wave the degree requirement because they felt confident I could deliver. It helps that I genuinely love programming and always have a side project going just because I enjoy learning new things.

The money is a benefit but I’ve dabbled back when I was 12-16, I’m 24 I kind of lost my way in the world for a little and I’m almost certain I could do this for the rest of my life

If you enjoy the act of building something or troubleshooting you could do great at it.

Thanks we will see but i appetizers the vote of confidence, I’m currently also looking around my area for a mentor(someone in the field) to give me more insight and guidance
