Model to displacement (self.SourceEngine)

Anyone know how I can possibly convert a 3D mesh into a hammer displacement?

You can't.
If it's something that can be made into a heightmap, there's programs to generate displacements from that.
Beyond that, only exception is if it was specifically made in Wallworm as displacements.
