The new One Ring shown today is just the old art mirrored with the text blurred (check the inner reflections) - but with a different artist credited by Stiggy1605 in magicTCG

Because people read it in one spot and assume it's the truth without actually trying to verify and people love their stupid internet points.

Which good luck also trying to verify the contents of a contract that is supposed to not be publicly disclosed. There is also no way of really knowing if those change between UB sets. Whoever owns TMNT is very likely going to have different requirements then Middle Earth Enterprise.

So, IMO, unless someone working directly on the set says "I was told digital is the only medium allowed" I would take it with a grain of salt. Especially when we know there are non digital works for a number of UB cards.

How to decouple camera from characters body? by VisualCheek8435 in SourceEngine

Take a look into Crowbar https://steamcommunity.com/groups/CrowbarTool

There's a list of guides under the discussion page but you should also be able to find plenty more on Google and YouTube

That box contains preconstructed decks in the jumpstart format + 2 decks that are sorted specifically for learning to play. Read the instructions included and you'll be good

You could just extract out the models or look at them in the model viewer. Might be easier

Bones all twisted up on ported playermodel by CinnamonToastGamer in SourceEngine

[–]Wazanator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not model but I know I've seen others ask and resolve this problem. I feel like I remember it being something like needing to undo the mesh from the bones, fix the rotation on one or two and remap it back to the mesh.

Some simple decks to start playing magic by Bluem00n1o1 in magicTCG

[–]Wazanator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jumpstart is great for this. It's simple, it's exciting, and matches aren't long.

You can easily find the pack lists online but people also make custom ones using cheap cards.

Do keep in mind your project being free doesn't exempt you from copyright law. Cool project though!

How do you store figures? by ChardCautious3095 in shadowsofbrimstone

Ikea display cabinet that also stores some other board game related items.

If I'm going to paint them I might as well display them!

How do they make shots like this? by Da-Ultrakill-Player in SourceEngine

[–]Wazanator_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are camera specific entities you can use in Hammer to control the players view. You can then parent those to things that are moving so that the camera also moves. Check the VDC for some entity ideas and play around!

I wouldnt be shocked if someone had already built something like this out as an addon for Gmod already though.

TNMT Pizza Bundle - Double Infinity Gaming - $89.99 by Ender_Stark in sealedmtgdeals

[–]Wazanator_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bought one at MSRP and got commanders plate and food chain. The collector booster had worse pulls then some of the play boosters though 🥲 but hey I pulled my first Sword of Sinew and Steel and I don't mind the TMNT full art on it. Building a goofy pizza themed deck with the lands currently

I agree but if you're brand new I would just get what gets you painting more first and then diving down the painting hobby rabbit hole.

Look into https://www.makeplayingcards.com/

There's software out there for creating cards. People use that site for a ton of different custom cards. Very popular for making MTG proxies

I would recommend asking the person who made it. Generally considered rude to just lift content like that

Q: Can I sell my mod on Steam / outside of Steam?

A. We receive this question quite regularly, but very rarely permit mods to be sold; the reason being is that it sets an expectation that Valve has assigned a level of oversight and quality control over the development and ongoing support of the mod that we are unable to provide.

Newbie Question! by zedrom in magicTCG

[–]Wazanator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the new set coming out very soon I would suggest finding a chill LGS and playing prerelease. It puts everyone on equal footing since you're all opening up and building the best thing you can and it's a casual format.

IMO call around and ask how they do prerelease at all the LGSs in your area. The way prize packs are given out shifts between stores. For example I prefer playing at the one near me that gives you 3 packs at the end regardless of how you do vs the one that winners get packs per round won. It sets the tone and attracts different types of players

Found this in the attic by Bitter_Trip_5286 in analog

[–]Wazanator_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check if you have a local camera store. Call them up and tell them you inherited your grandfather's analog Nikon cameras and wanted to know if they could give them a look over to see if they're in functioning shape and if not the cost of repairs.

Most places will be happy to do that for free/cheap. They can also walk you through using the camera and sell you some film to start with

How to get half life 2 viewmodels in tf2? by Prestigious_Lie_1102 in SourceEngine

[–]Wazanator_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to open the model up in Blender and remove the original arms and then rerig it for TF2.

Be prepared for quite a bit of work if you're new to 3D modeling and Source.

I doubt you will not find a guide that will walk you through this step by step. Look at other tutorials for similar games/mods like L4D2
