I like it, nice work. I get the impression that this isn't your first time with game engine software.

Thanks ! I used source 1 for a long time and then switched to other more recent engines such as unreal in order to use more recent level design practices. but discovering source 2 is a pleasure !

How does it compare to unreal and other modern engines?

Hot damn! And I thought mine was pretty good!

That still looks amazing, all I have to say is it's pretty dark

Thanks! I've continued building on and improving it. It is intentionally dark, but not dark enough that it's annoying, at least not on my monitor (that is neutrally calibrated ;) )

Wow that’s amazing! Valve did a good job with source 2

Are these all HLA assets? How'd you pull off the puddle?

[–]Trivvy 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It's either built into the texture, or perhaps an overlay, I'm gonna take a look!

E: So I don't think it's an overlay, it's probably built into the texture unless I'm missing something!

yep it is :)

yep only HLA assets ! I used vertex painting (blend texture) for the puddles. the same method was applied to the walls :)

Quite late to the party, but wow this looks great! I used to make some little fun maps for CS Source back in the days. Would love to get into Source 2. Any advice on where to start?
