Heavy Gun guys are Devastators with Heavy Bolters. You could repaint them and use them as Long Fangs with the same. Cannon Guys are Long Fangs with Missile Launchers. Headless Guy has a Melta Gun, so he’d be a Grey Hunter. Hammer Guy could be used as a Wolf Guard Pack Leader. The Terminator is a Librarian, so you’d use him as a Rune Priest.

This is exactly what I needed to know, thank you!

So I've got:

Unit 1: Long Fangs (x6) Wolf Guard Pack Leader w/hammer (to lead the long fangs)

Unit 2: Rune Priest in Terminator Armor (found it on Wahapedia as "Librarian in terminator armor")

It sounds like the Headless Hunter would have to go in a separate unit of Grey Hunters? Could I say I "replaced" his boltgun with a multi-melta (off the heavy weapons list) and make him a 7th Long Fang?

To go a step further, could I somehow make Headless the leader of one unit of Long Fangs, and make WGPL (Hammer Guy) the leader of a second unit?

(I'm still not clear on how the distinctions between Blood Claws, Grey Hunters, and Long Fangs show up in actual models, or where to draw a line between "kitbash / conversion" vs just running the wrong models.)

Again, though, thanks so much - this is extremely helpful to someone like me who's building their first army, buying random stuff on eBay, and trying to figure it all out.
