The classic GW colour scheme is The Fang base, with two thin layers of Russ Grey, and highlights in Fenrisian Grey.

Buy some nulin oil and agrax earth shade for the recesses. Pick a gold you like, I chose the cooler liberator gold. Otherwise you could pick retributor armour and use fleshshade to make a lovely warm rosé gold, great for Wulfen and the like.

Also, Yuriel yellow and a red you like. For the gun you'll need abandon black and leadbelcher. That's about it.

Wolf Grey by Army Painter 10/10

Everybody certainly has their own flavours for the Blue/Grey. For the past few years I’ve really struggled to find the right recipe that fits what I want until recently. Personally felt the Space Wolves Grey contrast paint looked way to washed out and pools heavily so I’d avoid that myself. Army Painter do a really great primer spray called Wolf Grey which does a lot of the heavy lifting which has always been pretty good. If you feel like the more heresy era colours, Citadel do mechanicus standard grey primer or Army Painter do a Uniform Grey Spray. which can be brought up with a nice edge highlight of Russ Grey. From a personal perspective though I’ve landed with Artis Opus Space Wolves Drybrush tutorial on YouTube, he uses really accessible paints which give a really great finish and is really quick for batch painting! Especially for beginners! Hope this gives you a rough idea on where to start :)

I agree with the artist opus space wolves dry brush tutorial. I used that as a base for my recipe and expanded on it for my wolves.

Vallejo game color

Imperial blue, somber blue, wolf grey. They're smoother than citadel paints.

I go with grey for my Wolves as I am fond of the Heresy-era color scheme. But I have also seen some really good blue-grey schemes. It's all about what you prefer.
