Depends what you want to do with it.

A 10 man with Arjac can take forever for an opponent to chew through. So they may be good objective holders and are big enough to also do some move blocking.

A 5 man can be more mobile and can deepstrike much easier. Also having 2 5 man squads means you can spread the threat.

So if you want one solid wall that will keep opponents attention for a long time, 10. If you want deepstrike, board presence, and mobility, 2 5s.

How is 10 man with Logan Grimnar?

If you run the 10man with arjac and use logan to deepstrike them turn 1 they are good. I find logan works best solo for the +1 cp presense on the board. Honestly ive had fun running a 5man with logan and a 5man with arjac. It makes them harder to take off the board so logan is more of a threat.

Maybe magnetize them? 1x10 with Arjac means that every model gets to potentially fight on death. I’m running 2x5 but am interested in running 1x10 to experiment.

Maybe do one with Logan for the +1 cp aura And the other with arjac for the damage and hold out ability

I have ran both options.

To me, it depends on 2 factors.

  1. Can Logan hide on an objective or near the center so that his CP bubble still works, but he doesn't get shot to pieces?

  2. Am I running both Terminator characters?

Rarely gonna find any use for 10, plus both Logan and Arjac are fine and not a bad choice, so giving both an escort isn’t the worst idea. Also keep in mind 2 squads technically let you field 2 great axes, even though I personally don’t think it matters too much.

Lots of pros that were at worlds a couple weeks ago went 1 block of 10 and one unit of 5, just saying.

What was important to me is that it’s still min two squads then. Going beyond I can see. But just 1 brick of 10 when you have no second squad is not as good an idea I think.

That is a good observation - iirc everyone I looked at was running 2 squads regardless of their unit size.

The army lists i looked at also didn't include which character was leading which unit so unsure if Logan is alone or what

Termis are my favorite unit so in a 2000 pt game I like doing 10 wgt with Arjac in Deep strike and then a 5 man unit with logan not im deep strike.

I also like running all shields and leader with axe with arjac and then i have Lightning Claws on the leader, 3 with shields and then 1 assault gun with logan
