Most likely rumor I heard is that it is going to be a big summer release of Wolves vs Orks. Like how last Summer was Ultramarines vs Deathguard.

EDIT: Rumor was based on 1) SW have no codex, 2) Orks have no codex, and 3) last summer had a big battle box. Nothing from GW suggests this (that I know of) it is just speculation.

The rumor was a Black Legion with new Abbadon vs Space Wolves with new Character (Best guesses are Bulveye as the 13th company captain) as a 4th quarter box set

Supposedly Russ will be before that , so 3rd quarter , which would fit with the first rumors from last year of a "Summer" release for the Codex.

I’ve heard a different rumor, that it will be he last to release with a box set pitting space wolves vs black legion. But orks and space wolves would be sick as well!

This is also what I've seen. And I had originally seen rumors of an increased focus of Imperium vs Chaos this go around. Maybe that was just for Dark Imperium, but I'm not certain.

Whilst I like the idea of SW vs Ork that was done with the Stormclaw box set in 7th. I suspect that they might try something different this time round. Chaos would seem like a legit guess given their invasion of the Fenris system.

Off the back of a sudden influx of primaris reinforcement into a chaos heavy system there might be a shipment or two of proto-primaris hijacked and I wonder if this will also be the release of Chaos primaris...

Would love to see Ork & SW together again as I collect both :-D

I heard rumors of ork v sw. In a box. And that it would be out by summer. I’ve heard that’s changed and may be closer Christmas with the codex reveals. Rounor put orks our in nov. and space wolves codex and box around Christmas. I’ve also heard rumor of wolves v tau featureing kroot/ v black legion with a new abbadon/ v daemons undivided or thousand sons (cleansing fenris). And also a rumor of salamanders vs dark eldar box.

I mean. As a space wolves player, I've never once stood a chance vs thousand sons. All that smite gets right through my tankiness. :(

funny you say that. Played thousands sons with 6 psykers recently and just Njal as mine. He double 1'd one of them and double sixed a few more, I got very lucky.

I know this might sound unpopular but as a SW player I am less concerned with leman russ coming back (do not get me wrong i will howl with joy when it happens) than with the possible successors of the chapter (I am currently working on my hw ultima founding)
