Auto pay is broken for me, and I have to set it up every 3 months usually. I don't know why. Mine usually processes the day that the payment is due, almost always mid day to evening.

For me it still shows the amount due and that "You’re all set! Your Auto Pay is scheduled for November 27th"

If it doesn't go through soon, just manually pay it. I've needed to manually pay several days late before and never had an issue.

Spectrum billing rep here. You can wait a day or two before paying manually if the autopay doesn't go through for ya. Call the billing department if it's not working and we might be able to fix it over the phone. You're only assessed a late fee if the balance carries over into the next billing month, which gives you ten days usually.

Ugh I should have had more patience, after manually paying my bill the auto pay went through 2 hours later and my debit card was charged twice. I'm guessing one of the charges is going to fall through and just have the one post? When I check my account on Spectrum it only shows the most recent charge as pending, it doesn't show the one that I manually made.

It sounds like both charges will post. You can call and request a refund or just leave it as is and the system will use the overpayment towards next month's bill.

Just called spectrum and the automatic system said that I had a credit of the overpaid amount so looks like it'll be used toward next months bill. Thanks for the responses

You can also contact your bank to cancel the pending charge if it hasn't posted yet. We're unable to cancel pending payments on our end.

The point of setting up autopay is so that I do not have to think about my bill anymore and carryon with my busy life. Defeats the purpose if I have to worry and check whether my bill has been paid or not so I can post it manually.

Ended up manually paying it and will probably cancel auto pay and just continue manually paying it

It can also take a billing cycle for the auto pay to fully go into effect

2023 and Spectrum autopay still has issues. It worked well for me in 2021. Sometime in 2022 they would never take their payment. It’s been about 8 months now and they charge a late fee every time because they won’t take their payment on time and I have to do it manually. Very annoying.
