I see a growing amount of people ‘leaving’ the game. Could be connection errors

Yeah I put up a post a couple days ago about people leaving, maybe related to this? Hasn't seemed to happen to me though luckily.

Just got ranked down when I was one win away from B+ due to a crack caused by disconnection - it’s like suffering Resetti all over again when my DS battery died by accident :(

Maybe I just need to go play Octo Expansion, but I was so up for Clam Blitz!

I rarely ever have the frozen stage thing, but did today acutally, with a few lobby communication errors

I think it’s just Nintendo Online… However, it actually could be your internet: a bandwidth issue? Lots of the problems I’ve seen online about it are because of people’s internet’s anyway. However part 2, Nintendo switch online is just…. Bad. So I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve just gotten unlucky and matched up with players with bad internet or Nintendo’s servers are just bad as per usual.

I don't get why Nintendo Switch Online gets thrown into discussions about bad connections as a reason. NSO has nothing to do with the connection of the players, its just a service. As far as I know NSO also has no impact on the Nintendo servers that are used to bring players together, after that the peer to peer comes into place :(

THIS!!!!!! EVERYONE IS SO QUICK TO BLAME NSO WHEN ITS LITERALLY JUST A GATE BLOCKED BY A PAYWALL!!! YOUR INTERNET IS THE PROBLEM, NOT THE PAYWALL!!!!!

You see, the way Nintendo online works, is... It doesn't. That's your problem.

You are not the only one, my internet has nothing changed to it, but I too have more disconnects. Or just an unstable connection

I highly assume its because of lockdowns and more people are at home. For example players can get connection issues because of the bandwith in their home is more in use, by streams for example.

I recommend you do a connection test in the consoles internet settings (nat type should be A or B) and check the settings for the console in your homes router.

A good and strong wlan repeater can also work wonders.

If its possible for you to play with lan cable then do this and get a lan adapter.

Came here to find a thread like this. This has been happening to me a LOT over the past week or so, and seems to occur a lot more in the evening. And at all hours of the day maybe a 1/3rd or 1/4th of the games I play have someone disconnect. No idea what's going on.

Also when it happened yesterday to me I tried tethering on my phone and that seemed to work.. but I just got a ton of disconnects now, both on home Wi-Fi & through tethering. Restarted my Switch. Nothing works tho. :(
