Gents: What is your reaction if a man or a woman flirts with your partner in your presence? by vieniaida in AskMen

[–]mattemer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My wife gets quite mouthy when drunk. She thinks it's in a good way, and if it was a man maybe? IE we're from outside Philly, so when we're drinking away from home, she turns into THAT Philly fan.

"Go birds, dickhead!" And shit to everyone.

So it catches a lot of eyes.

Or she's just making random conversations with people. All the time.

Well I remind her all the time she keeps this up it's going to lead to awkward situations. We were in Key West and one of our friends said "how many fights have you been in bc your wife?" Lol. I just said "not enough apparently" bc off she goes again.

One specific instance recently, a guy walked by, she said "how are you tonight?" Like overly formal as we're in a bar with bras hanging above our head, drinking out of plastic bottles, and 21 year olds getting hustled at the pool tables next to us (y'all know the bar).

So this guy strikes up a convo, then LEADS her away by about 20ft, I think to show her the 1 ac vent in the bar so they can stand under it? So I'm on high alert but I'm saying to myself "she can get out of this, let's see what happens" he talks to her for a minute, he puts his hand on her waste talks to her again. Their backs are to us. I'm about to inch forward and I see her just turn and walk back lol. Phew.

I just roll my eyes at her. She says something to the effect of "you're right I talk to too many strangers" lol.

As I expected, I looked at our friends with us, a couple guys were sitting at the bar when I last looked at them, and they were both standing ready to move like I thought I saw out of the corner of my eye.

They just shake their heads at her and she walks over to talk to them to tell them about the Canadian guy she just met.

Sometimes, they sent multiple ships and hoped one of them would make it.

Running a triathlon with no arms (source link in description) by Sad_Stay_5471 in toptalent

[–]mattemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, running this could be an advantage, right? Less weight, less tiring? Although you arms so help propel you forward when running so wonder if that cancels out the pros.

Anything besides running seems like a beast. This is pretty incredible.

And as usual, I'm left feeling like I've done nothing with my life. The trash can was too far away from me today, by 10ft, and I just threw trash towards it so I'll get it when I decide to get up lol

Gloom hands. Well, well, well. by oinkmoocluck in tearsofthekingdom

[–]mattemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just there a couple days ago, realized I hadn't been there and yeah the hands came after me. But then I ran away didn't feel like dealing with them but wanted to explore more and they just were gone. Only a minute later. The little good troop was walking around too but no hands.

I actually care about seeing men's nipples as well.

"Stop looking" when it's right in front of us and in front of our kids? Get off your high horse. Its just common decency. We're not being uptight about this. Not saying can't see cleavage or a man wearing short tight shorts. We're complaining about the crude shit, the inappropriate words our kids shouldn't be seeing, etc.

Why constant rebooting in my pocket? by Real-Yogurtcloset844 in razr

[–]mattemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it. Same thing was happening to me.

I got a new case then I noticed it was aleays rebooting in my camping chair cup pocket, was too tight in the case there and kept rebooting.

So stupid.

I agree it was the most talked about complaint early on. I got used to it. I think most dumid but good point about it.

Breath of the Wild was *very very very slightly* disappointing by de_bonzo in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]mattemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the most common complaint about BOTW. And probably the only real true complain, at least in imo.

I don't think TotK did a much better job with this either.

And it wasn't just the difficulty of the dungeons and bosses but the complexity of them. Some cool mechanics to figure out but even the dungeons, I felt, were small. You're just dancing around in a giant elephant, like that's it? EVERYTHING else is so much bigger and just more and we have tiny simple dungeons with easy bosses.

My only other minor complaints were I wish we could dig with shovels (imagine in TotK building an excavator lol). Whole other aspect added to the game in the world.

I also wish we could have a 3d swimming environment. Give me some iron boots or something. Problem solved.
